Bronze liana ring wide
The liana ring is made of golden bronze, twisted and looped like a liana with wide strands that wrap around the trunk of the tree. The inspiration for this piece of jewelry comes from climbing plants or lianas that entwine around branches or trees. These very and even wrap around and thus decorate. The ring is made of very thin strands that wrap around your finger and thus decorate in an airy and light way. Each liana ring is a handmade unique piece that is created in my workshop.
Ring care golden bronze
Bronze jewelry tends to oxidize over time, i.e. tarnish. All of my jewelry is sealed. But with a ring, this usually doesn't last forever. They get darker or slightly greenish. To prevent this for as long as possible, you should make sure to keep your jewelry as clean and dry as possible. The cause of oxidation is that the metal reacts with the surrounding air or with the acid and moisture of the skin. The oxidation and formation of black oxide and green patina is completely normal and not harmful, but depending on your taste it can look "antique" or a little unsightly. This green patina is often incorrectly referred to as verdigris. The green coloring is caused by the formation of salts from organic acids and is a surface layer that basically has a protective effect on the metal and prevents it from erosion. Contrary to popular belief, this patina is not harmful to health, neither if swallowed nor on the skin, unless there is an allergy. The oxidation layer that may form on your piece of jewelry and make it darker or slightly greenish can be easily rubbed away with a silver cleaning cloth. If that is not enough, I recommend an old toothbrush with a little toothpaste. Rub the ring gently with it and then rinse with lukewarm water. Then simply polish it dry and you can wear it again with a new shine.
